Black Community Leader Launches Legacy Wealth Building Movement to Create Economic Empowerment

Nationwide — Linda Morgan Sam, an African American community leader and philanthropist from Los Angeles, California, is using her upcoming 64th birthday celebration to also spark a movement of generational wealth-building and economic empowerment. On Thursday, July 31, 2025, Linda and 64 of her closest friends and family will gather at the world-famous Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center in Leimert Park for the unveiling of a revolutionary initiative that redefines the meaning of “being a blessing while you can.”

Each guest will receive a specially curated Legacy Wealth Building Box featuring a 32-oz mason jar – a symbolic vessel to begin a year-long savings journey. Participants will commit to filling their jars with any amount they choose until Linda’s 65th Legacy Birthday Tribute on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The celebration will feature a powerful musical performance by the JazzZone All-Star Band under the direction of her long-time business partner, Roscoe Lee Owens.

Collected funds will be entrusted to the Jazzabration Foundation and invested in a three-year high-yield financial instrument beginning in August 2026.

How It Works

Donator: Contribute your collected savings to the Jazzabration Foundation and support its mission to uplift and serve. You are choosing to “Be A Blessing While You Can.”

Duplicator: Create your own Legacy Circle by gathering peers your age, providing them with Legacy Boxes, and encouraging a parallel three-year investment journey.

By 2029, both Donators and Duplicators will come together for a collective celebration, witnessing the impact of financial discipline, community collaboration, and shared economic vision.
