One person dead, another hospitalized in I-35 collision near Beckley Avenue

Deputies were called to the scene of a major two-vehicle collision, which included one overturned vehicle, police said.

DALLAS — A deadly crash on the I-35 express lanes near Beckley Avenue left one person dead and another hospitalized Thursday night, according to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 9 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the scene of a major two-vehicle collision, which included one overturned vehicle. Deputies responded alongside Dallas Fire-Rescue and found one individual dead at the scene. 

Another person was transported to a hospital; their condition remains unknown.

As of 10 p.m., the I-35 express lanes are currently closed as investigators work to determine the cause of the crash.

No further details have been released at this time.
