Woman’s body recovered after reported drowning in Lake Lewisville, officials say

Authorities recovered a woman’s body from Lake Lewisville after a reported drowning, officials said.

LEWISVILLE, Texas — A woman’s body was recovered Sunday from Lake Lewisville after a reported drowning, officials said. 

Early Sunday morning, Texas Game Wardens responded to the scene of a reported drowning on Lake Lewisville, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department said in a statement. 

A female victim was recovered from the water and taken to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office for identification, officials said. 

Officials did not immediately release any additional information.
