NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas — A short foot pursuit led to two arrests after a Kohl’s theft in North Richland Hills on Monday, police said.

At about 1:30 p.m., the North Richland Hills Police Department responded to a call about a man breaking jewelry cases with a crowbar inside a Kohl’s in the 6000 block of Precinct Line Road.

Within minutes, officers were on scene and managed to stop the getaway vehicle. However, the passenger ran from the vehicle, leading officers on a short foot pursuit that ended near Walker and Grand Avenues, NRH police said.

A 45-year-old man from Lancaster and a 36-year-old man from Dallas were taken into custody. The two suspects were arrested within eight minutes of the smash-and-grab, NRH police said.

Both suspects will be booked into the North Richland Hills Joint Detention Facility.
