Camille Prats underscored that while she loves acting and starring in TV series, she has to take a break from them to have more time with her family.

The actress announced this through her Instagram page on Monday, July 14, as “Mommy Dearest,” the GMA TV series she currently stars in, is nearing its finale.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for embracing Olive,” she began, referring to her role in the show.

“When GMA offered me this role, it wasn’t a difficult decision to make. What I didn’t realize was how much I had been longing—as an actress—to take on a character different from the ones I usually portray: the kind-hearted, often oppressed protagonist,” she continued.

Prats credited her recent character for “breathing new life” into her passion for acting, and thanked the directors and her co-actors for their warmth, which made the filming easy.

“A heartfelt thank you to direk Gina Alajar for laying the foundation of this character and for your steady guidance, especially during our early taping days,” Prats said, also thanking director Ralfh Manuel Malabunga for his encouragement.

“Special thanks to Ms. Amy Austria for always feeding not just our stomachs but also our hearts, grateful that we get to share our faith journey with each other,” she added.

Prats further expressed her gratitude to GMA Network for entrusting her the series role.

“This project is especially close to my heart as I’ve decided to take a break from doing seryes for now, to devote more time to my growing children and family,” she announced.

“Turns out, I cannot attend to everything all at once—and while I deeply love what I do and remain incredibly grateful for the support you’ve shown this project, I’m being called to be a wife and mom first,” she said.
