Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is launching on Apple Silicon-powered Macs on July 17. Developer CD Projekt Red confirmed that the game will be compatible with M1 and newer Macs, bringing the full RPG experience, including the 2023 Phantom Liberty expansion and other post-launch updates. The Mac version will support advanced features like MetalFX upscaling and spatial audio, offering an optimized and immersive gaming experience for Apple users.

CD Projekt Red will be available across multiple platforms including the Mac App Store, GOG.com, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The Ultimate Edition includes the original base game, the Phantom Liberty expansion, and all post-launch updates and free content. This release marks a major milestone in Mac gaming, giving Apple users full access to one of the most celebrated open-world RPGs.

Originally revealed in October 2024, the Mac version was expected to arrive in “early 2025,” but it’s now arriving earlier than anticipated. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition becomes the second major AAA title to launch on Mac this year, following Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Players will once again step into the role of V, accompanied by Johnny Silverhand, portrayed by Keanu Reeves, as they explore the futuristic sprawl of Night City on Apple Silicon devices.

The game is compatible with Macs powered by Apple Silicon M1 or later, featuring at least 16GB of unified memory and running macOS 15.5 or higher. It supports head-tracked Spatial Audio when paired with compatible AirPods and offers custom “For this Mac” graphic presets, specially optimized for each Apple Silicon model. These features aim to deliver a smooth and immersive experience tailored to the capabilities of Apple hardware.

Cyberpunk 2077 also taps into Apple’s latest technologies, including MetalFX upscaling, AMD FSR, and newly announced Metal FX Frame Interpolation and MetalFX Denoising, enabling up to 120fps gameplay at Ultra settings with real-time path tracing. HDR is fine-tuned for Apple XDR displays and also supported on external monitors. Gamepads, Magic Mouse, and trackpad are supported, along with cross-progression, letting users sync progress across devices. While minimum system requirements haven’t been revealed yet, CD Projekt Red will preview Patch 2.3 during its REDstream on July 16, ahead of the game’s Mac debut.
