One killed, freeway closed after crash on SH-114 on Wednesday morning

One person is dead, and a major roadway is shut down after a crash in the Westlake/Trophy Club area on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the crash occurred in the westbound lanes of SH-114 near Westlake Parkway.

Police said a truck hit a guardrail and flipped onto its side, blocking the westbound lanes and a portion of the eastbound lanes of SH-114.

The driver of the vehicle was killed during the crash, police said.

All westbound lanes and one eastbound lane are closed as a result of the crash, and all traffic is being forced to exit at Davis Boulevard.

Officials estimate that the freeway will reopen around 10:30 a.m.
