As Craig David gears up to release his new album Commitment, the U.K. R&B singer unveils his latest track, “In It With You,” featuring JoJo.
Produced by David’s frequent collaborator, Mike Brainchild, “In It With You” is a heartfelt anthem about loving a partner through the ups, downs and in-betweens. “I’ll always be right by your side / There ain’t nothing we can’t get through,” they harmonize in the chorus.
“In It With You” is the fifth song shared from Commitment, which drops Aug. 8 via Believe UK. David launched his new era with the uplifting “In Your Hands,” released last fall.
“‘In Your Hands’ is such an important song for me, as I wanted to shine a light on how truly special we all are — especially when we allow our inner child to play, that part of us that holds the true meaning and joy to life,” David explained.
Wasting no time to share new music at the start of 2025, David followed up with “SOS” in January. He noted, “‘SOS’ is all about that moment of feeling vulnerable, yet ready and open to taking a risk, a leap of faith to let someone know you are finally ready to let love in, however scary it may feel.”
In February, David released the album’s title track with Tiwa Savage and then “Wake Up” in April.
Commitment follows David’s 2022 album, 22. The latter featured collaborations with Muni Long (“Obvious”), MNEK (“Who You Are”), Galantis (“DNA“) KYLE (“Already Know”), Nippa (“G Love“), Duvall (“My Heart’s Been Waiting for You”), and more.
22 celebrated the 22nd anniversary of his critically acclaimed debut, Born to Do It, which included his Grammy-nominated singles “7 Days” and “Fill Me In.”
“There’s a spiritualism in the number 22 and what it represents. In numerology, it’s a very powerful number and in terms of angel numbers it’s bringing balance and equilibrium to my life. We’re in a world where there’s a lot of me against you, and so it’s bridging the gap,” David explained.
