Weekend Guide: Concerts, food festivals, and family events | Things to do in DFW this weekend

North Texans can enjoy the outdoors this weekend with plenty of music and food events before the heat ramps up.

DALLAS — With temperatures predicted to finally reach the triple digits next week in North Texas, this weekend is a good opportunity to get some vitamin D in before it gets too hot.

With plenty on the lineup, there’s guaranteed to be something for every North Texan out there.

Music lovers are set. With plenty of artists and different genres heading their way DFW, your sure to find something you like. Whether your into big country music names like Parker McCollum and Vincent Mason, or maybe the jams from New York’s 80s and 90s club scene, your all accounted for this weekend.

Foodies out there will be satisfied because it’s a food festival filled weekend. Pickle themed events and National Hot Dog Day celebrations are sure to keep you busy and full. The good food doesn’t have to pass by with the weekend either. Set yourself up with fresh produce for the rest of the week and visit some of the local farmers markets.

Portillo’s Beef Bus Tour (Dallas)

Frankly, it doesn’t make sense to only celebrate National Hot Dog Day one day a year. Portillo’s restaurant agrees and is turning their favorite holiday into a weeklong celebration. This Friday, Portillo’s is bringing The Beef Bus to Klyde Warren Park to satisfy all the hot dog lovers out there that didn’t get to celebrate properly on Wednesday. The bus event will feature Chicago style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and other Portillo’s menu favorites. Be sure to take a photo in front of their 20-foot hot dog photo op, and stick around for the exclusive merch giveaways. More information about the event can be found on this website.
