As the rumoured launch of the iPhone 17 series approaches, leaks have intensified—especially around colour options for the iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. These leaks suggest Apple is planning a fresh look for its upcoming flagship lineup. A new report now supports earlier rumours, revealing that the iPhone 17 Pro will be available in four colourways. While the classic black and white shades will remain, Apple is expected to introduce two brand-new colours, potentially marking a shift toward more vibrant or unique finishes.

Well-known leaker Majin Bu has revealed that the iPhone 17 Pro may launch in Black, Dark Blue, Orange, and Silver colour options. He shared renders of the device in these rumoured shades, noting that the black and silver finishes resemble the Black Titanium and White Titanium of the iPhone 16 Pro lineup. The renders also showcase a new camera bar design featuring an LED flash and a LiDAR sensor aligned on the right.

The Dark Blue option seems inspired by the Blue Titanium from the iPhone 15 Pro, while the Orange shade marks a bold addition not seen in recent Pro models. According to Majin Bu, these colours are based on inputs from an accessory manufacturer and sources close to Apple. He also hinted at a fifth colour under testing, though it’s unclear which model it may be for. The new colours are reportedly designed to complement the aluminium frame of the iPhone 17 Pro.
The introduction of Orange and Dark Blue indicates a departure from the subdued tones used in the iPhone 16 Pro, which came in Black, White, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium. This shift suggests Apple may be aiming to inject a bolder personality into its Pro lineup, possibly to appeal to younger or style-conscious buyers.

Meanwhile, another report suggests that the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max could come in five colours: Black, Dark Blue, Gray, Orange, and White. The base iPhone 17 is rumoured to launch in six colours, including Light Blue, Purple, and Steel Gray, while the iPhone 17 Air may feature four shades such as Light Gold and White.
All four iPhone 17 variants — the standard, Air, Pro, and Pro Max — are expected to launch between September 8 and 12. The vanilla models are likely to include 8GB RAM and the A19 chip, while the Pro models could come with 12GB RAM and the A19 Pro chipset, reinforcing Apple’s strategy of segmenting its devices more distinctly through hardware and design.
