False alarm at NorthPark Center in Dallas prompts evacuation, officials say

Mall management told WFAA that they’re investigating what caused the alarm to go off.

DALLAS — Shoppers at NorthPark Center in Dallas were evacuated Saturday afternoon after a false alarm sounded in the building, mall management told WFAA. 

According to management, the alarm went off just before 5 p.m. However, security determined that it was not an active alarm, though it wasn’t clear why it had gone off. 

NorthPark Center officials told WFAA they’re investigating the cause of the alarm.
