Driver arrested for DWI after leaving Dallas dog grooming business crash scene

A Dallas business in Oak Cliff continues to clean up after a truck crashed into the front of their building early Sunday morning. Someone nearby recorded cell phone video showing the moment the driver backed up and drove away.

A truck crashed into the front of a building in the 1000 block of W. Davis St. at around 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Dallas Police Department (DPD).

A 20-second video shows the white four-door truck quickly reverse and take off westbound on Davis St.

Dallas police said an officer stopped the driver, 55-year-old Joseph Villarreal, who was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Duty on Striking a Structure.

The business, Bruno’s Place: a self-service dog wash in Oak Cliff, posted on Facebook that it would not be open on Sunday due to the damage.

Dallas police said the crash remains under investigation.
