Coppell’s Hannah Bilka and the rest of Team USA’s women’s hockey team are hoping to remain undefeated on Monday. They line up against Switzerland in their third Group A game at 1:40 p.m.
The Americans have been formidable so far in the Olympics, winning 5-1 over Czechia and 5-0 over Finland.
Team USA is 2-0 going into the game against Switzerland and leads the pack in Group A with six points. Switzerland, which beat Czechia in overtime, is second with two points.
Bilka, 24, finished the game against Czechia +1 with an assist, a point and three shots on goal. In the game against Finland, she took four shots on goal.
Bilka, of Coppell, currently plays for the Seattle team in the Professional Women’s Hockey League, is a member of the USA Women’s National Team, and, most recently, was a member of Team USA, helping bring home the World Championship in 2024.
Bilka also spent some time with the Dallas Stars youth hockey when she was younger.
After Monday’s game, Team USA’s next Group A matchup will be against Canada on Tuesday.
