Team USA starting off strong, defeating Denmark 10-3 in women’s curling round-robin. Connecticut native Mac Forehand took silver and his first Olympics medal ever in the men’s freeski big air finals.
Germany swept the podium in two-man bobsled, with USA’s Joshua Williamson and Frankie Del Duca placing fourth. Sweden won the men’s hockey playoffs against Latvia and will face the U.S. in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
Day one of the women’s single figure skating event ended with Alysa Liu and Isabeau Levito in the top ten (third and eighth respectively), with Amber Glenn finishing 13th after popping a triple loop.
