Janno Gibbs is back to what makes his heart sing — making music — as he officially signs with GMA Music for exciting new projects ahead.

At the signing, the King of Soul expressed his gratitude and excitement in reuniting with the record label. “It feels really good to be back home sa GMA Music, I feel really at home with these guys. It’s not just the label, it’s these guys I’m coming home to.”

Gibbs’ partnership with GMA Music marks a full-circle moment in his music career. He was one of the very first artists signed by then-GMA Records back in 2004.

His debut album under the label, Seven, was aptly titled—not only was it his seventh studio album, but it also paid homage to GMA’s Channel 7. The album produced memorable hits such as “Pinakamagandang Lalaki,” “Kasinungalingan,” “Sana Dalawa ang Puso Ko,” and the chart-topping “Fallin’,” which became the iconic theme song of the Koreanovela Full House.

The success of Seven was recognized by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI), awarding the album a Gold Record for exceeding 15,000 CD sales.

Following Seven, Gibbs released a string of albums with GMA Records: Little Boy, Orig, The Janno Gibbs Anthology, Novela, Lalake Lang Ako, and Nagbabalik. From these albums came well-loved tracks such as “Walang Kadala-dala,” “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo,” “Ikaw Lang at Ako” (a personal composition dedicated to his wife, Bing Loyzaga), “Sexy Mama” featuring Andrew E., “Haven’t Stopped Loving You,” “Igiling,” and more.

Gibbs was also awarded a Special Digital Sales recognition for his album Orig, highlighting his ability to adapt and thrive in the evolving music landscape.

A versatile artist, he collaborated with several Kapuso stars throughout the years. And beyond commercial hits, his musical talents have also supported GMA’s storytelling. He composed and performed theme songs for several Kapuso shows such as Lupin, Gagambino, Asero, Dading, Ikaw, Ako at Siya, and My Korean Jagiya.

Gibbs’ meaningful contributions also extended to social causes. He initiated the Bangon Kaibigan project—writing the heartfelt tribute song for Super Typhoon Yolanda survivors and spearheading the collaboration with GMA Network and Kapuso artists for a touching music video.

Among his most recent projects were the Netflix film, “Hello Universe,” and “Itutumba Ka ng Tatay Ko,” which he also directed, and the series “Wow Mani” on TV5. Currently, he appears on TV5 as one of the hosts of “The Men’s Room,” and as judge detective on “Masked Singer ng Pilipinas.”

Apart from his collaborations with GMA, he also released several singles under Viva Records in recent years.
