Sprouts Farmers Market will open a new location in Celina, according to state filings
CELINA, Texas — Sprouts is continuing its expansion in North Texas by opening a new store in one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, according to state filings.
A new Sprouts Farmers Market is set to open near Prosper and Celina, two of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., according to information filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Construction on the new store is set to begin in March 2026 and the store is scheduled to open during winter 2027, according to the filing. The store will be located at the intersection of Preston Road and Frontier Parkway, the filing states.
Sprouts, an Arizona-based chain, has recently expanded its footprint in North Texas, opening a store in North Oak Cliff. Sprouts operates 26 stores in North Texas, three of which opened up just last year, WFAA previously reported.
The new store will enter a crowded market in Collin County, where more than 10 grocery stores have been opened in the last five years, and more than 15 new stores are expected to come online in the next two years, WFAA previously reported.
The new Sprouts Farmers Market is expected to cost $4.7 million to build, the filing states.
