Man shot, killed in north Fort Worth, police say

The man was shot Wednesday afternoon in the 3100 block of Ray Simon Drive, officials say.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Police are investigating after they say a man was shot and killed in north Fort Worth Wednesday.

Police responded to a shooting call around 4 p.m. in the 3100 block of Ray Simon Drive in the Diamond Hill area and found a man who’d been shot in the upper body, according to a press release.

The man was taken to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead, officials say. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the man’s identity and cause of death. 

No other details about the shooting were immediately available. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
