Samsung rolled out the first major Wear OS software update for the Watch Ultra along with new features in India and other regions. The South Korean tech giant’s new Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is set to come packed with the One UI 8 which is based on the Google Wear OS 6. The Galaxy Watch Ultra which launched last year got the minor refresh earlier this month before the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 6 series.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra Gets One UI 8 Watch Update
Samsung announced the roll out of the One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch Ultra in India. Based on Google Wear OS 6 for smartwatches, the latest update comes with a redesigned user interface that includes Multi-Info Tiles and the all-new Now Bar feature which has already been released for the Galaxy smartphones with the ONE UI 7 update.
Additionally, the latest update comes packed with new health and fitness tracking features that were announced during the unpacked event which took place earlier this month.

Reddit users updated that the One UI 8 Watch update has started rolling out to the Watch Ultra in different regions including the US. The screenshots shared show that the size of the file is 1,943 MB and it includes the May 2025 security patches.

However, we don’t have information about the release of the latest update for other models. The Watch 7 series could get this update a month after the Watch 8 Series ships with the latest version.
