Samsung unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 earlier this month at the infamous Galaxy Unpacked event. The early sales data suggest that there has been a shift in buyer preference as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has put an end to the dominance of the Z Flip lineup and is reportedly leading the pre-order table. This shows that the consumers are now interested in buying the foldable devices.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 7 leaves Galaxy Z Flip 7 behind in Pre-Orders
According to the reports, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 collectively achieved 1.04 million pre-orders in Korea. This is more than the previous record which was set at 1.02 million in 2023. This suggests a year-over-year increase of over 14 percent.

The report also suggests that this is the very first time in history that Samsung’s foldable device has more pre-orders than the Flip variant. Furthermore, the Blue Shadow has been the most popular colour variant while the Black shade sits next in line.
In addition to this, the report also suggests that over 83 percent pre-orders of Galaxy Fold 7 were from men at SK Telecom while 59 percent of the Flip 7 were reserved by the women.
In India, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 pricing starts at Rs 1,74,999 whereas, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 pricing starts at Rs 1,09,999.
