Arlington police officer, other driver hospitalized after crash, police say

ARLINGTON, Texas — An Arlington police officer and another driver were hospitalized after a crash Friday morning, officials said.

The crash was reported shortly before 10 a.m. at the intersection of South Cooper Street and the Interstate 20 frontage road, according to a police news release.

The officer’s SUV crashed into a pole, and the other vehicle involved was in a ditch. Both drivers were taken to area hospitals for treatment, police said. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.

More information about the crash was not yet released.
