Indian tech brand Primebook is all set to launch its newest Android-powered laptop, the Primebook 2 Neo, on July 31. The announcement, made via a press release earlier this week, has already sparked interest, especially among students, young professionals, and budget-conscious users looking for a reliable everyday laptop without burning a hole in their pockets.
Priced starting at just Rs. 15,990, the Primebook 2 Neo looks to strike the right balance between performance and affordability. And to sweeten the deal, the first 100 buyers on Primebook’s official website will get an additional Rs. 1,000 off, bringing the effective cost down to Rs. 14,990.
At its core, the Primebook 2 Neo is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, a capable octa-core processor known for delivering solid day-to-day performance while keeping power consumption in check. It’s paired with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, ensuring that multitasking, browsing, and app switching remain smooth and lag-free, perfect for online classes, emails, document editing, and even a bit of entertainment on the side.

The laptop runs on PrimeOS 3.0, a custom-built operating system based on Android 15. This OS is specially designed to offer a desktop-like experience while keeping the familiarity and flexibility of Android. Whether you’re new to laptops or switching from a tablet or smartphone, the learning curve should be minimal.
Storage is generous too. The Primebook 2 Neo comes with 128GB of fast UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 512GB via microSD card, plenty of room for your files, assignments, photos, and apps.
But perhaps the most intriguing addition is the built-in on-screen AI assistant. While Primebook hasn’t revealed all the details yet, the assistant is expected to help with voice commands, quick suggestions, and easier navigation, bringing a touch of smart tech to budget computing.
