Vivo V60 5G India Launch Confirmed for August 12: Here’s What to Expect

Vivo has officially confirmed that its photography-centric smartphone, the Vivo V60, will launch in India on August 12 at 12 PM. The upcoming device is the direct successor to the Vivo V50, which debuted earlier this year. With a focus on camera performance, the Vivo V60 is expected to bring notable upgrades while continuing the brand’s legacy of stylish design and imaging innovation.

The Vivo V60 5G is set to launch in India in three stylish color options: Mist Gray, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold. Staying true to the V series design, the phone features a sleek curved back with a pill-shaped camera module sporting ZEISS branding and a circular ring likely housing the signature Aura Light. The V60 5G also boasts a quad-curved display and comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, enhancing its durability.

Breaking from its recent trend, Vivo is upgrading the processor on the V60 5G. Instead of sticking with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, this model will feature the newer Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. It will ship with a 6,500mAh battery supported by 90W fast charging and run on FunTouchOS 15 based on Android 15, offering strong performance and fast charging capabilities for users on the go.

In the camera department, the V60 5G comes equipped with a ZEISS-backed triple-camera setup, headlined by a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens (Sony IMX882, also with OIS), and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, users will find a 50MP selfie camera with a wide 92° field of view. These specs position the phone as a strong contender for mobile photography enthusiasts.

Leaks also hint at a 6.67-inch 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED display with up to 1600 nits peak brightness, LPDDR4x RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. The Vivo V60 5G is expected to be priced similarly to its predecessor, likely falling in the ₹35,000 to ₹45,000 range, offering a balanced package of style, performance, and camera prowess.
