1 dead after fall from building in Dallas, police say

Police responded to the scene in the 1800 block of Payne Street near Victory Park in Dallas shortly after 2 a.m. Friday, officials say

DALLAS — One person died after falling from a building in Dallas early Friday, police said. 

Officers were called to the 1800 block of Payne Street near Victory Park in Dallas shortly after 2 a.m., where they determined a person fell from a building, DPD said in a release.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded as well, and the person was pronounced dead at the scene, DPD said. The person was not identified. 

Officials are investigating the incident and no other details were immediately available.
