As summer winds down and the first day of school approaches, families across North Texas are getting a boost from local school districts and community organizations hosting free back-to-school events.
From backpacks and school supplies to health services and family fun, these events are designed to help students start the 2025–26 school year prepared and confident without breaking the bank.
Here’s a look at where families can find support this Saturday, August 2:
Arlington ISD
- Location: AT&T Stadium
- Time: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD
- Location: Ranchview High School
- Time: 10 a.m.
Dallas ISD
- Location: Ellis Davis Field House
- Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Dream Center Dallas
- Location: 1900 S. Ewing Avenue
- Time: 10 a.m. until supplies run out
Friendship Baptist Church of the Colony
- Location: 4396 Main Street in The Colony
- Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Hibbett Before Homeroom
- Location: 1450 Eastchase Parkway, Fort Worth
- Time: 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Mansfield ISD
- Location: Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts
- Time: 7:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
