A historic downtown Fort Worth tower has hit the market.

The 11-story, 101,390-square-foot building at 110 W. Seventh St. is the largest historic registered building in downtown Fort Worth, according to JLL, the firm listing the property. The office tower was built in 1910.

Known as the Bob R. Simpson Building, the property was once owned by XTO Energy, a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil Corp. XTO moved its headquarters from Fort Worth to Houston in 2018 and sold the building in 2022 to Icon Lodging. The company had planned to convert the office building into a hotel but that never happened — now it’s back on the market.

The building is walking distance from the downtown convention center, which is currently undergoing a $700 million renovation and expansion. This portion of downtown is seeing a wave of development, including the new Texas A&M campus. Recently, a downtown block at 801 and 811 Calhoun St. hit the market, less than a mile away from the Bob R. Simpson Building.
