Reacting to a post on X/Twitter that stated “deleting my Instagram today,” Elon Musk quipped, “This is the way.”
This is not the first time the Tesla boss has endorsed deleting the photo-sharing social media app acquired by Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta. Last year in August, while reacting to Telegram’s co-founder Pavel Durov’s arrest by French authorities, Musk suggested arresting Zuckerberg instead. He accused Zuckerberg-led Instagram of censoring free speech, child exploitation, and giving the government backdoor access. He also nodded in agreement when a user compared Instagram to OnlyFans, an adult site, in 2023.
The beef with Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t end with Instagram. Musk has lambasted Meta-owned Facebook and Twitter rival Threads, besides Microsoft-owned LinkedIn and Wikipedia.

Meanwhile, reactions poured in on Elon Musk’s post on Instagram. Several users lauded Musk’s crusade against the Meta platform; however, others reminded the billionaire that his app is no less of an abomination.
One user stated, “X is incredibly more negative.” Another user remarked, “Instagram reels comments is literally better than X.” A third user wrote, “You just posted AI softcore like a day ago, you clanker.” Yet another user urged Musk, “Ban p*rnography on X.”
One user commented, “Elon becomes a trolling machine when it comes to Zuckerberg.” An Elon fanboy jibed, “Real men delete IG. Legends build memes on X and raise AI kittens in the basement.”
