Founder of 2025 Forty Plus and Flirty Summer Dating Summit Empowers Grown Folks to Date with Purpose, Power, and Passion

Nationwide — Sharon C. Jenkins, Founder and CEO of the 2025 Forty Plus and Flirty Summer Dating Summit, has announced that this year’s event returns virtually August 20–23, 2025, with a bold message: it’s never too late to experience real, grown-up love. The Summit features workshops to help mature adults enhance their dating skills.

This year’s summit features empowering sessions on relationship dynamics, self-confidence, and communication filled with real-life stories, expert advice, and a special in-person networking event to connect like-minded individuals. “It’s Popping in the 3rd” on August 23rd in Houston, Texas, is an in-person gathering allowing networking and a chance for love.

Created for singles over 40, this dynamic 4-day event offers transformative conversations, heart-healing insights, and real-life connections that go far beyond dating apps. The summit is co-hosted by Sharon C. Jenkins, founder of Forty Plus and Flirty, and Shonte’ Williams, founder of D’Art Event Services, bringing both vision and creative execution to the experience. Together, they’re crafting a soulful celebration of emotional renewal and romantic revival.

“I created this summit because grown folks deserve sacred space to rediscover love—fully, faithfully, and fearlessly,” says Jenkins. “This event is about freedom. It’s about healing. It’s about choosing love again.”

Inspiring Speakers Who Speak to the Heart

Bishop Greg Davis, a leading voice in Christian relationship wisdom and one of the most respected faith leaders in America, will deliver a powerful message on dating with discernment, faith, and purpose after 40.

Joining him is Dr. Lori Hanford, reality TV star of Later Daters, who will offer her signature wit, wisdom, and real talk about dating confidently at any age. She’ll share how to reject toxic patterns and embrace meaningful romance. Other speakers include matchmakers Jennifer J. Hayes and Amber Lowe, dating coach Diane Brandon Moody, psychologist/healer Joy Soleil, Pastors Ed and Marilyn Johnson of Christ Worship Center, Faith and Forever More Podcaster Diane Tuffuoh, Time to Wait author Cherise Baggett, April “Loveologist” Cofie, and entrepreneur Meka Diamond.

“It’s Poppin’ in the 3rd!”

The summit will culminate in “It’s Poppin’ in the 3rd!,” a pop-the-balloon-style in-person singles event hosted by the dynamic Marina Angelica Coryat, award-winning communications expert, community leader, and one of Houston’s Top 30 Influential Women.

Held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Houston’s Third Ward, this unique experience is designed to ignite real chemistry in a fun, face-to-face environment. Guests will pop balloons to reveal icebreaker questions, matches, and more, bringing playfulness and intentionality to the dating experience.

It’s not just a party. It’s a grown folks’ love encounter—with purpose, prayer, and plenty of surprises.
