On the latest episode of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” Yandy gets even with Rasheeda, and Ashley drops a bomb on Lil Zane’s mother. Here are the highlights for, “On My Momma.”
Salma Slims still isn’t feeling Erica Banks.
Young Joc and Kendra meet with 24hrs and Salma Slims for a bite to eat. Salma and Joc discuss her recent back-and-forth with Erica Banks. For Salma, things went awry because Erica refused to work with her in a manner she felt was disrespectful. She’s convinced the real issue is that Erica thinks Salma was her possible replacement at 1501 Certified Entertainment. However, Salma never had any intention to sign to the label to begin with.
Regardless of the tension in the group, Joc invites Salma and 24hrs to be a part of the album he’s working on. They gladly accept his invitation.
Ashley and Lil Zane confirm Bambi’s kids were christened without her.
Bambi, Kendra, and Ashley catch up. Kendra and Ashley are invited to Bambi’s upcoming engagement party. Bambi also confirms she invited Kirk and Rasheeda, as well as Yandy and Mendeecees. Considering the tension between the two couples, she has no idea how things will go.
Ashley mentions she is also dealing with a tense situation on a personal level. She and Lil Zane have been clashing. Ashley recently discovered that Zane has been giving his mother money behind her back. She and Zane have four kids together that they will need to put through college. So this is not okay for Ashley. They need to have a sit-down soon.
Bambi encourages Ashley to keep speaking up for herself since she had a similar experience with Momma Dee and Lil Scrappy. So when Ashley tells Bambi that her children were christened with Momma Dee the other day, Bambi is taken aback. She asks Ashley to call Zane for confirmation. When Zane answers the phone, he tells Ashley that Scrappy’s oldest child, Emani, was the only child who was not christened.
Bambi becomes emotional at the realization that her children were christened without her. She believes Scrappy and Momma Dee do things constantly to break her down. Ashley and Kendra console her.
Erica Banks misses her chance to make peace with Salma Slims.
Queen Key invites Renni Rucci, Salma Slims, and Erica Banks to a studio session to record what she calls an “episode.” Episodes are tracks where she and guest rappers call out people and vent their frustrations. The idea was to get Erica and Salma to record and hash out their issues. However, Erica is a no-show.
When Queen Key facetimes Erica to ask where she is, Erica says she is in bed, sick from food poisoning. This gives Renni flashbacks to the time she tried to hash things out with Erica originally, and Erica didn’t show up.
Salma concludes Erica didn’t come because of her. She steps into the booth to record her verse anyway.
Bambi is getting cold feet.
Zell visits Bambi at her home. He asks her how her engagement is going. Bambi is starting to have cold feet. A woman recently DM’d her, alleging that she had been dealing with RayFace. Zell received the same messages. However, he didn’t want to tell Bambi what he heard about Ray because she was very happy and looked like she was having fun. But he began to be concerned when RayFace proposed.
Bambi is unsure about marrying Ray, but she will see how things unfold at their upcoming engagement party.
Kirk and Rasheeda run into Lil Scrappy and Momma Dee while attending one of Spice’s shows. Momma Dee claims she saw Mendeecees getting cozy with another woman when she recently went to a restaurant.
Rasheeda and Kirk feel vindicated. Kirk hugs Momma Dee for the info.
Rasheeda and Yandy take off the gloves.
Yandy makes it to Spice’s concert in hopes that Kirk and Rasheeda will keep the same energy in person. However, the couple leaves to avoid running into Yandy. Rasheeda accuses Yandy of having bad breath and a bad BBL in her confessional.
When Spice later talks to Yandy after her show, she questions why the fallout happened. Yandy is just as confused as Spice. She’s been loyal to Rasheeda and thought they had a friendship. However, Rasheeda has been dragging her in interviews.
Yandy thinks Jasmine could be in a throuple with Kirk and Rasheeda. She alleges that they go on vacations together, and Spice will soon find out more.
Ashley and Lil Zane’s mother spill each other’s tea.
Lil Zane and Ashley meet with the rapper’s mother, Linette. Zane dismisses himself after Ashley and Linette confirm they want to speak alone. Ashley brings up Zane giving Linette money behind her back. In response, Linette says she doesn’t have to ask Ashley for anything. Zane has the right to give her money if he wants.
Ashley reminds Linette that she and Lil Zane are one. So it’s her money as well, which means there should have been a conversation. Linette begins to mock Ashley, telling her that Zane gave her an unlimited credit card and that there is nothing Ashley can do about it.
When Ashley says she will put an end to this, Linette insists Zane will not stop taking care of her. Ashley then accuses Linette of not being truthful about the identity of Zane’s father, and Big Zane is not his real father.
Linette tells Ashley she doesn’t know anything. Ashley then says she spoke to the “Colemans,” so she knows everything. They are Lil Zane’s real family. This sets off Linette. She says Ashley had two kids with two different men before getting with Zane. And she left her kids with their fathers to be with the rapper.
Ashley responds that she knows what she did and told her children the truth. Linette still won’t tell Zane who his real father is, so she isn’t a good mother herself. And her failure to be honest has made Lil Zane question his identity.
Lil Zane returns to see that things are heated between Ashley and Linette. He tries to calm them down as the women continue to argue in front of him. The conversation ends with no resolution.
