A 50-year-old man is missing after his two kids were rescued while screaming for help in the lake. A nearby boater rescued the kids and reported the incident.
TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Crews responded to Eagle Mountain Lake on Saturday evening to search for a 50-year-old man reported missing in the water, officials confirmed to WFAA.
The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) said it received a call at approximately 5 p.m. reporting two children floating in the water and screaming for help. A nearby boater rescued the children and reported the incident, TRWD said. TRWD Law Enforcement Division units responded, secured the children, and initiated an investigation, which determined the children had been on the lake in a small watercraft with their father.
The father, who officials say is a 50-year-old man, had not been located and is considered missing, TRWD said.
Texas Game Wardens and Fort Worth police were assisting in the search for the man.
There were not any other details immediately available.
WFAA has reached out to Eagle Mountain Fire Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife for more information about the search.
