Dallas Police shot and killed a man after they responded to a reported disturbance and found a man wielding a knife, officers on the scene said.
DALLAS — Dallas Police shot and killed a man who was allegedly wielding a knife and threatening a woman, officers on the scene said.
Officers responded around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday to reports of a disturbance in the 13800 block of Far Hills Lane, according to a public information officer with the Dallas Police Department.
When officers arrived, they found a man allegedly threatening a woman with a knife inside a home, according to officers on the scene. A SWAT team was called after the woman was able to escape, officers said. The incident escalated and police shot and killed the man, police on the scene said.
A public information officer with the department did not confirm the death of the suspect, but said no officers were injured. Dallas Police will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday to share more information about the incident, officials said.
Around 5:30 a.m., SWAT remained on scene and roads surrounding the intersection of Far Hills Lane and Knollwood Drive remained closed, officials said.
