One of the Dallas Mavericks’ newest additions, Cooper Flagg, was also present at the Tennis Classic.
DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki hosted his foundation’s annual Tennis Classic Saturday, featuring both old and new friends.
The seventh annual event, which was hosted at Banner House at T Bar M, directed 100% of proceeds to North Texas nonprofits that provide critical programs in children’s well-being, health and education.
Fans filled the stands to watch high-energy matches that featured big personalities from both the sports and entertainment worlds, including former NBA players Steve Nash, Joakim Noah and Devin Harris. One special guest made an appearance: the Dallas Mavericks 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick Cooper Flagg.
During their matches, the participants, including Nowitzki, were all mic’d up so that fans could not only enjoy watching them play tennis but also have a laugh while they shared stories and commentary.
Founded by the Mavericks legend, the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation focuses on giving children the tools and support they need to thrive. Its work centers on improving health, education and overall well-being, with an emphasis on helping kids facing challenges such as poverty, illness and abuse.
