For only the 11th time ever, the Mega Millions jackpot has reached $600 million after 30 straight drawings without a winner.
The estimated cash value of Tuesday’s jackpot is $277.2 million.
The higher price also came with another change that offers players marginally better odds, though they remain astronomical. The chance of becoming a jackpot winner under the new rules is one in 290,472,336, improved from every one in 302,575,350. This is because one gold Mega Ball was removed from the game, down from 25 to 24.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were 12-22-49-57-58 and Mega Ball 19.
Mega Millions drawings take place Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
