When are the 2026 MLB Schedules Released? – Sports Brackets

This is the time of year when fans are asking when are the 2026 MLB schedules released? Even though there’s still a lot of baseball left to be played in 2025, many teams are already looking at next season. The exact date of the release is normally kept pretty quiet, but we’ll do our best to give you the best estimate based on when they came out in past seasons.

Past MLB Schedule Release Dates

Here are the past MLB schedule release dates for you going back to 2016. As you can see, MLB has preferred July the past two years (and a Thursday for the day of the week too).

Year Date Day of Week
2025 July 18th, 2024 Thursday
2024 July 13th, 2023 Thursday
2023 August 24th, 2022 Wednesday
2022 August 4th, 2021 Wednesday
2021 July 9th, 2020 Thursday
2020 August 12, 2019 Monday
2019 August 22, 2018 Wednesday
2018 September 12, , 2017 Tuesday
2017 September 14, 2016 Wednesday
2016 September 8, 2015 Tuesday

When are the 2026 MLB Schedules Released?

Now, they will either keep to form and make the announcement after the 2025 MLB All Star Game and 2025 MLB Draft this season. Or, we could see them jump back in time and wait until its almost 2025 MLB Playoff time to make the announcement. Our prediction is we see them make the release on Thursday, July 18th, 2025 if the skeds are coming out in July. If not, then likely it will be mid-August.
