Numbers were drawn Friday night for a $625 million Mega Millions jackpot as the grand prize grows and the winless streak continues. The estimated cash prize value is $288.8 million. 

The higher price also came with another change that offers players marginally better odds, though they remain astronomical. The chance of becoming a jackpot winner under the new rules is one in 290,472,336, improved from every one in 302,575,350. This is because one gold Mega Ball was removed from the game, down from 25 to 24. 

Friday’s winning numbers were 9-21-27-48-56 and Mega Ball 10.

Mega Millions drawings take place Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
