Storms moved through North Texas Friday, leaving thousands without power into Saturday.

DALLAS — Thousands are without power early Saturday after storms moved through the area Friday

Saturday remains a WFAA Weather Alert Day with the potential for more rain and storms in the forecast in the evening. The severe weather risk is expected to be low. 

The storms have largely moved east out of the Metroplex as of early Saturday, but as of around 3:30 a.m. Saturday,. 37,227 Oncor customers are without power, with most in Tarrant County. 

“Oncor teams are continuing to restore power to customers impacted by recent severe storms. These efforts will continue throughout the night, so long as weather conditions allow,” a weather alert message on Oncor’s website reads. “A large complex of strong and severe thunderstorms will be moving west to east across our service area through Saturday morning.”

Here’s a breakdown of power outages Saturday by county as of 3:30 a.m.:

  • Tarrant County: 26,578
  • Dallas County: 1,377
