In the latest episode of “The Braxtons,” Miss Evelyn has a medical emergency. Tamar and Toni clash over a cease and desist letter. Here are the highlights for “Unbreak My Heart.”
Von is shaken up from his medical scare.
Trina rushes back home to Von after a medical scare sends him to the emergency room. He tells her he hadn’t been feeling well before she left for Tulum, but he didn’t want to go to the doctor while she was still in town. Von knew that Trina would not go to Mexico for Towanda’s bachelorette celebration if he were unwell. But he needed medical attention as soon as she was on the tarmac, he went to urgent care. When he told the staff he couldn’t breathe when he was lying down, he was rushed to the hospital.
Von learned from doctors that he had fluid around his heart and lungs. When they weighed him, he was 309 pounds. The heart valve issue he has causes fluid buildup. After the fluid was removed, he weighed 279 pounds. Had he drunk a couple of beers and gone to sleep, he wouldn’t have woken up.
He becomes emotional and wipes away tears as he feels like his decision not to go to the doctor sooner nearly cost him his life. Von doesn’t want to hurt the ones he loves. So the key moving forward, as Trina suggests, is to change their lifestyles. She will be there with him every step of the way.
His doctor is giving him 30 days to get healthier, or he will have to get surgery.

Tamar makes an appearance on Ts Madison’s podcast. When she is asked about the accusations her niece Ashlee has been making on social media, Tamar says she can’t discuss any of that. The family attorney recently sent her a cease and desist letter. In a green screen interview, Tamar says she was blindsided. She told the family ahead of time that Ashlee would be speaking on her podcast.
When Ts Madison says her cohost on another podcast says that the Braxton family likes drama, Tamar says she doesn’t think this person likes anyone in her family. But it was offensive to say that they love drama. They are human and trying to find themselves just like anyone else. And they are the only “black family long-running reality show.”
She also thinks her sisters have made her look like the villain.
Miss Evelyn has to have a stent placed in her heart after a test shows she has a blockage. Tamar and Trina are able to rush to the hospital to be there when she awakens.

The sisters meet to catch up. It goes left after Tamar says she was disinvited to Tulum. When Towanda questions who told her she was no longer invited, she brings up the cease and desist letter. She says the legal move could shut down her business entirely. Trina and Towanda say they knew nothing about any of this. Towanda hasn’t been represented by the family attorney in years.
Tamar claims Toni is good friends with the attorney, and she questions who gave him her address. Toni and Tamar begin arguing after Tamar says Toni doesn’t have her back. Toni denies knowing that the attorney would send the cease and desist letter. Tamar doesn’t believe her.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger as things escalate further between Tamar and Toni.
