City of Mesquite’s CodeRED Alerts Hacked In a “Cybercriminal Attack”

MESQUITE – (WBAP/KLIF) – The City of Mesquite says it’s been notified it’s been the target of an organized cyber criminal attack, affecting data that may contain contact information of Code Red users, including personal identification, and/or associated passwords for Code Red accounts.

Residents and visitors are urged to follow information including those concerning severe weather, emergency bulletins and information, and public safety alerts on City of Mesquite social media sites, until the Code Red system is restored.
