FORECAST
Happy cold front day! A quick tempering of expectations: Not everyone will get rainfall with this front, nor is it going to provide a big cool-down. But, it will give us some nice changes!
TODAY/TONIGHT
The morning will be humid and mostly cloudy. Temperatures will likely spike ahead of the front, which right now is moving through Central Texas. We’ll hit the mid-90s before the front arrives. For San Antonio, we expect a passage between 2 and 4pm. The front should help to stir up showers and storms. Unfortunately, the rainfall is going to spotty. For those who do see rainfall, it could be heavy at times. A strong storm or two can’t be ruled out. Rain will linger behind the front and a chance for showers and storms will continue through the night, before coming to an end early on Thursday.
THURSDAY
Slow clearing will take place on Thursday morning, with mostly sunny conditions by the afternoon. The front doesn’t bring a big cool-down, but you’ll notice lower humidity and a drop of 5-10 degrees when it comes to afternoon highs.
COOL MORNINGS
The real payoff will be Friday and Saturday mornings, where dry air will allow us to slip into the mid-60s. Afternoon highs should still reach the low-90s through the weekend.
