Baby back boots? Chili’s partners with Tecovas for booth-inspired footwear

From fajitas to fashion, Chili’s is turning its red booths into some wearable pieces.

DALLAS — Two Texas-born brands are launching an unlikely collab.

North Texas-based Chili’s is partnering with Austin-based western wear company Tecovas to release a limited-edition line of handcrafted cowboy boots made from the red booths found in Chili’s restaurants.

Dubbed “Booth Boots,” the collection transforms the material from Chili’s booths into boots and a belt.

“For nearly 50 years, Chili’s booths have been home to first dates, family dinners, celebrations, and late-night margs,” said Jesse Johnson, Chili’s Vice President of Marketing. “We thought it would be fun to celebrate this familiar piece of the Chili’s experience by turning it into something truly unexpected for our fans.”

Sam Fodrowski, Tecovas’ Vice President of Brand and Product Marketing, called the partnership a tribute to the brands’ shared Texas heritage. “It’s unexpected, fun, and crafted with the same care and attention to detail we bring to everything we do,” Fodrowski said.

The limited-edition collection features some interesting design details, like exclusive chili pepper embroidery.

To celebrate the launch, select Tecovas retail stores will serve Chili’s margaritas on August 2 for guests 21 and over. Both the boots and the belt will be available for sale on July 29.
