On the latest episode of Belle Collective, Selena opens up about her strained relationship with Mike as Marie faces the emotional fallout of being torn between two men. Meanwhile, friendships and business ties are tested. The ladies try to balance love, loss, and loyalty.
Marie’s event sparks mixed reactions.
Lateshia and Kerri meet to debrief after Marie’s event. It doesn’t take long before the shade starts flying.
Kerri admits she enjoyed herself but can’t help pointing out that the event “wasn’t giving coastal vibes.” This prompts Lateshia to remind her that Jackson women don’t take lightly to subtle digs about their city. While Kerri tries to play it off, she notes that tension lingered in the air.
The conversation quickly shifts to Marie’s complicated love life. She invited both Martin and Cedric to her party. Cedric originally told her he wouldn’t attend. That revelation left Lateshia confused. She calls it “a love triangle” and warns that Marie could get hurt if she doesn’t figure things out soon.
Still, Marie is determined to keep her focus on her brand. She tells the women she’s planning to relaunch Women Brunch Mississippi with a new event she’s calling the Relearn Social. The gathering will serve as a prelude to her upcoming tour, which aims to connect ambitious women across the state.
Kerri agrees to help her plan the social, saying she’s happy to use her event-hosting experience to make it a success.
Marie faces a love-life reality check.
Marie sits down with her longtime business partner and friend, Essie, to talk about her next chapter — both professionally and personally. While celebrating the continued success of their Hamilton Davis venture, Marie shocks Essie by revealing she’s ready to retire after 25 years as an entrepreneur.
Essie immediately pushes back, saying Marie can’t walk away yet and needs to give her “one more year.” But she doesn’t stop there. Essie also tells Marie that maybe she’d have time to rest if she stopped “juggling all these men.”
That comment opens the door for a more profound moment of honesty. Marie admits she’s torn between two men — Cedric and Martin. She still loves Cedric but has grown to care for Martin. He showed her “a different way of life” and swept her off her feet during a jet ski ride that left her feeling free and adventurous.
Still, with Martin out of town and not contacting her for two weeks, Marie is conflicted about what comes next. “My heart is leading in a certain direction, but I need clarity,” she tells Essie.
Essie tells Marie that she needs to get her priorities straight before things spiral even more.
Marie and Cedric revisit old chemistry.
Marie goes to Cedric’s home, and the sparks between them are impossible to ignore. Cedric lounges comfortably in a white robe as Marie cuts strawberries and pours wine.
They laugh about Marie’s recent party, but the conversation took a serious turn when both admit they felt uncomfortable that night. Marie said it was unsettling to have Cedric and Martin under the same roof, while Cedric admits he felt awkward watching her dance with Martin. He even said it made him feel like “a sucker.”
Marie never wants to be in that position again. Cedric thinks their long history and shared family created a bond that never truly faded. He called his love for her “unconditional.”
In her confessional, Marie is torn — Martin brought excitement and something new to her life, but Cedric represents home. “I like Martin. I really like him. He’s a great person,” she said. “But I love Cedric. It’s complicated.”
Selena grows frustrated with Mike’s lack of communication.
Selena is feeling overwhelmed — juggling family changes and her own emotions while planning an all-white event in honor of her late son, Quincy Johnson. She said the event is deeply personal and filled with memories. It is one of the most critical projects she’s ever worked on.
But instead of receiving support from her fiancé, Mike, Selena reveals that their communication had fallen apart. She admitted she’s been giving him the silent treatment because he hasn’t been keeping her in the loop.
When they finally speak face-to-face, Selena doesn’t hold back. She tells Mike that lately he’s been acting “more like a boyfriend than a fiancé.” Communication is key in any relationship. “The way you got me is the way you need to keep me,” she warns.
Mike says he didn’t realize how much his behavior had changed. However, Selena stands firm — calling him out for walking away during conversations.
By the end of the exchange, Selena reveals that Lateshia plans to connect them with another couple to help them work on their communication issues. She seemed hopeful, saying the exercise “can’t make things any worse.”
Marie flips the script on the ladies’ questions.
In the next scene, Lateshia is hosting the ladies for her Relearn Social event. Everyone arrived on time except for Marie. When Marie finally shows up to join the ladies, her grand entrance doesn’t go unnoticed. The group immediately teases her about being fashionably late—and for stirring up buzz about her love life.
Marie could feel that everyone wants answers about her situation with Cedric and Martin. Rather than shy away, she redirects the heat. She told the women, “Let’s play a game — true or false. Have any of y’all ever experienced infidelity in your marriage or relationship?”
The room goes quiet before a few eyebrows are raised. Some of the women find the question bold, while others call Marie out for deflecting. Latrice notes that all of Marie’s own relationships had faced cheating issues. This raised the question of why she was trying to “bring up another woman’s situation.”
Marie doesn’t back down. She explains that Cedric is her ex-husband and that tragedy — the death of a loved one — had brought them back together. This was while she was still sorting things out with Martin. “Everybody deserves somebody,” she says. “I never portrayed myself as having my personal life in order. Even though I’m a brilliant businesswoman, I’m human.”
Latrice and Selena clear the air.
Selena sits down with Latrice to address their lingering issues surrounding Selena not working at the restaurant.
Latrice felt disappointed and even a little abandoned when Selena didn’t show up to help during the grand opening of her restaurant, Taste. She explains that as friends and business partners, communication was key. Selena’s silence made her feel unsupported.
Selena, however, shares that life had hit her hard. She opens up about being in a serious car accident that left her unable to work. She also reveals that she was grieving the loss of her dog — the same one that belonged to her late son. “It felt like losing another piece of my son,” she says emotionally.
Hearing that, Latrice’s frustration turned to empathy. Both women acknowledge they should have spoken sooner and apologize for letting the distance grow between them. Selena thanks Latrice for giving her the chance to explain. Their decade-long friendship means too much to lose over a misunderstanding.
By the end of the conversation, both women are ready to move forward.
Selena opens up to her daughters about her relationship struggles.
In a more emotional moment, Selena sits down with her daughters — Sunjai, Star, and Sky — to talk about everything weighing on her heart. Between planning her late son Quincy’s memorial event and preparing for another grandchild, Selena is struggling to keep her relationship with Mike on track.
She tells her daughters that communication between her and Mike broke down. At times, she feels completely disconnected. The conversation turns raw as Selena acknowledges how much she’s been carrying emotionally. She shared how difficult it’s been trying to hold everything together while still grieving her son.
Her daughters listen closely, offering love and understanding. Selena reflects on how important it is for her to feel supported and heard.
Marie ends things with Martin.
By the end of the episode, Marie makes a difficult but necessary decision — she chooses to end her relationship with Martin. After weeks of emotional back-and-forth between him and Cedric, Marie needs clarity and peace more than excitement.
Sitting down with Martin, she thanks him for showing her a different side of life. However, her heart ultimately belongs elsewhere.
Marie said she still cares deeply for Martin, but she decides to move forward with Cedric. Their relationship is built on history and family, even if it’s complicated. Though saddened, Martin appears to take the news with understanding. What are your thoughts about the episode?
