Consumers in several states are urged to check lot codes after vodka seltzers were mislabeled.
WASHINGTON — High Noon is recalling two production lots of its Beach Variety 12-pack after discovering some cans were mistakenly filled with vodka seltzer but labeled as Celsius energy drinks.
The affected packs may contain 12-ounce cans of High Noon vodka seltzer mislabeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Energy Drink, Sparkling Blue Razz Edition with a silver top. Anyone drinking from these mislabeled cans could unintentionally consume alcohol, the company warned.
The issue was traced to a shared packaging supplier that mistakenly shipped Celsius-branded empty cans to High Noon’s facility, the company said. No related illnesses have been reported.
The recalled packs include the retail UPC 085000040065 along with the following lot codes:
- L CCC 17JL25 14:00 to L CCC 17JL25 23:59
- L CCC 18JL25 00:00 to L CCC 18JL25 03:00
The recalled cans include the retail UPC 8 89392 00134 1 along with these lot codes:
- L CCB 02JL25 2:55 through L CCB 02JL25 3:11.
The mislabeled cans were shipped to distributors in Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin between July 21 and July 23. Retailers in Florida, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin received the affected products.
Consumers who purchased High Noon Beach Variety 12-packs during that time should check for the impacted lot codes and dispose of any affected cans. Even individual Celsius Astro Vibe cans purchased separately should be checked before consuming.
