Dallas native, olympian Sha’Carri Richardson arrested for alleged domestic violence

Dallas native and Olympic gold medalist Sha’Carri Richardson was arrested after an alleged domestic violence incident at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The arrest happened on Sunday, and she was released the next day. NBC 5 obtained a copy of the police report.

The report says Richardson and her boyfriend, fellow sprinter Christian Coleman, were arguing as they exited a security checkpoint. Surveillance video shows Richardson allegedly pushing Coleman into a column as he tried to walk away from her, according to the police report.

The report also says Richardson continued to allegedly bump into Coleman and threw a pair of headphones at him. Richardson faces a domestic violence assault charge.

The couple was headed to Eugene, Oregon, for the Toyota USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships.

USA Track and Field told NBC 5 it doesn’t have a comment on the matter.

NBC 5 also requested a comment from Richardson’s management team and has not heard back.
