Body-worn camera video will be released during the press conference.

The Dallas Police Department said officers were working an off-duty job when the shooting happened early Sunday, around 2:20 a.m., in a nightclub parking lot.

One of the off-duty officers fired his gun at an armed person who refused to comply with commands after being involved in a fight, according to Dallas PD.

Police said the person was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No officers were injured during the incident, police said.
