Dallas Chief of Police Daniel Comeaux will give an update on the fatal shooting involving a police officer that took place in Downtown Dallas early Monday morning.
Two people died after someone opened fire during a fight on Commerce Street at about 2 a.m.
Police said officers who were dispatched to the disturbance confronted an armed person after arriving at the location to find multiple people had been shot.
One of the shooting victims and an armed person shot by police both died at the scene. Dallas Police have not confirmed the number of other people injured in the shooting, but said more than one person was hospitalized in stable condition.
No police officers were injured in the shooting.
During Wednesday’s news conference, Comeaux is expected to show body-worn camera videos and provide more details about the investigation into the fight and shooting.
