A snapshot of Elon Musk’s feed will show numerous shares of the capabilities of xAI’s Grok 4 and its text-to-visual AI Imagine Beta v0.1. The AI firm that commenced as a rival to Sam Altman-led OpenAI has made strides in no time at all, with the launch of its chatbot Grok in 2023 and Colossus, its supercomputer, dubbed the largest for training AI, that was built in 122 days! With SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, and Starlink on one hand, the 54-year-old billionaire juggles xAI and X/Twitter with the other. What is he eyeing? Beyond Silicon Valley supremacy, the world’s richest billionaire is seeking a global tech dominion. An xAI monopoly? Well… his recent tweet ain’t that discreet.
Musk remarks
xAI will soon be far beyond any company besides Google, then significantly exceed Google.”
He further states that ,
Companies in China will be the toughest competitors, because they have so much more electricity than America and are super strong at building hardware.”
China has, over the years, emerged as an arch nemesis of the USA, after the collapse of the USSR. The current Russia seems only a crumbling shadow of its former self, even as the communist republic of China continues to make strides on all fronts, from infrastructure to space technology, robotics, and AI.
Chinese EV companies like BYD are some of the fiercest competitors to Elon Musk’s Tesla. Not to mention the likes of DeepSeek that sent the entire SIlicon Valley into spiraling paranoia about the Chinese catching up and how.
xAI will soon be far beyond any company besides Google, then significantly exceed Google.
Companies in China will be the toughest competitors, because they have so much more electricity than America and are super strong at building hardware. https://t.co/CqOW3J6XiU
