The suspect in the shooting was found and arrested at a home after ramming through a gate, police say.
FORT WORTH, Texas — An employee was shot and killed at a gas station in Fort Worth Friday night, police say.
Police responded to the gas station in the 1400 block of Eastchase Parkway, near I-30, shortly before 9 p.m., after the adult male employee was shot, officials say.
Medical personnel arrived on scene and declared the man dead, police say. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 28-year-old Chandrashekar Pole.
Video from WFAA crews showed gas pumps at the Exxon store at Eastchase and I-30 blocked off with yellow tape as police investigated.
“Further details state that the suspect had left this location and shortly thereafter, approximately one mile away south from this location, the suspect shot into an occupied vehicle several times. No person(s) was injured during that altercation,” police said.
After that, officials say the suspect was found at a home in the 8500 block of Meadowbrook Drive, where the suspect had rammed through a metal gate and tried to get inside the home.
Officers were able to arrest the suspect, and no residents were injured, police say. The suspect was taken to a local hospital because of some injuries, but is in police custody, officials say. The suspect also wasn’t identified.
Police also recovered a gun in the suspect vehicle, according to a press release.
