Famed NY pizza joint to open in North Texas this week

Prince Street Pizza, known for its Sicilian and Neopolitan pizzas, will open its first Texas location in Dallas.

DALLAS — Prince Street Pizza, a renowned New York City pizza shop, will open its first Texas location in Dallas this week.

The pizza shop is known for its square Sicilian slices and Neopolitan pizzas. Its Dallas location will open at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at 2820 N Henderson Ave. in Dallas, according to a social media post from the restaurant. The new shop will occupy the former home of Fireside Pies, which shuttered in 2023 after almost two decades in that spot.

Though it may be taking up residence in Dallas, Prince Street is hoping to maintain its authentic New York pizzeria experience in Dallas by using a water filtration process that replicates the water used in New York. The new location will also evoke the Big Apple with a walk-up counter slinging slices through late-night hours.

Dine-in seating options at the new location in the popular Knox-Henderson neighborhood will also be available.

The cult-favorite pizza shop is known for the Spicy Spring offering (a square, spicy pepperoni pizza) and its spicy vodka sauce pizza (fittingly called the Spicy Vodka).

The first 25 people in line when the shop opens on Friday will receive $25 gift cards for their effort — and one lucky first-day patron will even earn a year’s worth of pizza if their name is selected in the store’s opening day raffle.
