Four North Texas hotel restaurants named among Top 100 in the country

DALLAS — Sometime you don’t even need to venture out of your hotel to get a good meal. That’s the case for at least four spots in North Texas, according to Open Table, which just released its Top 100 hotel restaurants in the country.

Stillwell’s at the Hotel Swexan in Dallas, Fearing’s at The Ritz-Carlton in Dallas, Trick Rider at the Omni PGA Frisco and 97 West Kitchen + Bar at the Hotel Drover in Fort Worth all made the list.

Open Table curated the list through their partnership with hotel booking website KAYAK and based the criteria on diner reviews, diner ratings, percentage of bookings made in advance and five-star reviews.

Here’s what Open Table had to say about each one:

Stillwell’s

Inspired by deep Texan roots and featuring beef from the in-house HWD Beef program, Stillwell’s is the hotel’s signature, classic steakhouse with a modern twist. Oenophiles will be impressed by the first-rate wine list featuring rare and hard-to-find wines from around the world. Stillwell’s is located on the seventh floor and open to both guests of the hotel and visitors.

Fearing’s

With its lively personality, warm welcome and the “Bold Flavors-No Borders” cuisine of celebrity chef Dean Fearing (the godfather of Modern Texas Cuisine), Fearing’s is a “can’t miss” stop in Dallas. One of the most popular and acclaimed restaurants in Texas, Fearing’s attracts everyone from celebrities, rock stars, local diners and business travelers — to heads of state and people who just plain love great food from Texas and the Southwest.

Join us in one of our seven unforgettable indoor and heated outdoor settings, ranging from casual to elegant, and including the legendary and always fun Rattlesnake Bar. Welcome to Fearing’s Restaurant – where Texas friendliness and great service are always available. And don’t forget to ask to meet Dean Fearing — chef, recording artist, guitar connoisseur and best-selling author of The Texas Food Bible. If you’re lucky, he may just stop by your table to give you his own personal welcome.

Trick Rider

Authentic rodeo culture meets upscale dining at Trick Rider, a vibrant venue whose design pays homage to the famed rodeo stars and Texan culture with design details like our hand-cut crystal horse chandelier and horseshoe-shaped bar. Choose from a mouthwatering selection of signature steaks, seafood, and shellfish dishes while soaking up our unique ambience.

97 West Kitchen + Bar

Located in the heart of the 130-year-old Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, 97 West Kitchen & Bar is Hotel Drover’s signature restaurant. The spirited restaurant offers a new destination for culinary adventure with a broad range of contemporary Texas fare, elevated ranch classics, and reimagined Southern comfort foods. The lively beverage program is brown spirits forward with creative cocktails from local distillers, an all-American wine list, and beer taps featuring domestic and local brews.
