Fox News’ Raymond Arroyo says the National Museum of African American History and Culture “belies a hatred of the west and the founders in particular”

LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): What did you find at the African American Museum?

RAYMOND ARROYO (GUEST): Well, some great music exhibits, a long slavery section, and while the achievements of African Americans are showcased — Ben Carson got a mention, he has an exhibit — there’s a focus throughout on activism and protest, even George Floyd. There were paintings of Maxine Waters “reclaiming my time” comment, like that was historic and changed history. Lots of exhibits focus on slave-owning founding fathers.

INGRAHAM: Of course.

ARROYO: But the overarching mindset is that America is a European experiment that unsettled the continent, Laura. It belies a hatred of the west and the founders in particular. And, look, it’s time to at least look at this anew. It should be looked at. There’s some bad notes in the mix of these museums.

INGRAHAM: Well, again, this is our history. It’s complicated, but it’s amazing. And we’ve come a long way, baby. Some good things, some not so good things.

ARROYO: Yeah, you can’t let the sins overshadow the glory.

INGRAHAM: Never.

ARROY: And we’re obsessing about Cracker Barrel’s logo. This is far more important than that. This is the misrepresentation of American history. We should focus on it.
