Grok Imagine Elon Musk’s Controversial Video Generation AI Tool Rolled Out For Android

Elon Musk’s xAI released its AI video generation tool in the wild with “spicy mode” that generates erotic and NSFW images. The Tesla boss announced the AI tool’s availability for Android platforms as well, delighting the users without access to an iPhone device. Grok Imagine is also available online, offering both video and image generation. The tool is powered by xAI’s Aurora engine, which was launched in December 2024.

Earlier during Grok Imagine’s launch, Musk quipped,

Grok Imagine is AI Vine!

He also stated,

Btw, we recently found the Vine video archive (thought it had been deleted) and are working on restoring user access, so you can post them if you want.

The Grok Imagine video generator has already created much controversy over its “spicy mode” that allows for the generation of erotic content. Reportedly, deepfakes of a billionaire pop star were generated when a user tested the app, without even explicitly promoting the same.

If salacious content is how an AI firm wants to allure their prospects, then we are already doomed. There’s no difference between thousands of shady AI bots on Telegram and elsewhere that do the same. The NSFW MODE will be age-restricted and will be rolled out for the lay in the future.
